تم خلال مؤتمر أبل الأخير في شهر سبتمبر الماضي الإعلان أن ملاك أجهزة iOS الجدد سيحصلون على تطبيقات iWork و أغلب تطبيقات iLife بشكل مجاني. هذا بكل تأكيد وضع الكثيرين في حسرة خصوصا من دفع مالا للحصول على هذه التطبيقات قبل إعلان مجانيتها. حسنا أبل لا تريد أن تحزن هؤلاء، و بدأت تقوم الشركة بإرسال بريد إلكتروني لمن قام بشراء التطبيقات حيث ستقوم بتعويضهم مقابلها عبر متجر التطبيقات.

On September 10, 2013, Apple announced that iPhoto, iMovie, Keynote, Pages, and Numbers iOS apps are now available as a free download on the App Store for qualifying iOS 7 compatible devices activated on or after September 1, 2013.
